Repeat Prescriptions

Did you know you can request your repeat prescription using Patient Online Access?

The easiest, safest, and quickest way to order your repeat prescription is online. There is no need to make a phone call or visit us; instead computer, smartphone or tablet users can request repeat prescriptions anywhere – 24 hours a day, seven days a week, all year round! You can then collect your prescription directly from your nominated pharmacy.

PLEASE NOTE: From 1st January 2019 we will no longer be accepting repeat prescription requests via this website, our patients are advised to register for Patient Online Access. Please see the above information for details on how you can register for this. 

Please request repeat prescriptions in writing or by the tear off request portion of your prescription.  Repeat prescription request forms are available at our reception desk. To assist a timely turnaround of repeat prescription requests, always include your full name, date of birth, NHS number and email address (if known) when completing the online form.

Your prescription will be available for you to collect in two working days. All prescription are signed by your doctor after morning surgery therefore available to collect AFTER 2pm.

Please note if you send your request outside of surgery opening times it will be ready for collection 2 working days from the next time the surgery is open. e.g. if you request your repeat prescription on a Saturday or Sunday it would be processed on Monday and would be available to collect Wednesday afternoon.

If you would like your chosen pharmacy to collect your prescription for you please indicate this on your request and arrange with the pharmacy to collect your prescription.

Your pharmacist can also deliver your prescription.  Please discuss this with your pharmacist. 


Please do not telephone with your prescription requests between 8am - 9am and 1pm - 2pm as this blocks the telephone lines.

Telephone requests will ONLY be accepted if they are for housebound patients.
